Meet Harry Piek
Born in Southern California, I moved to the Eastern Sierra foothills of Fresno and Madera counties and have been there all my life. At a very early age I was introduced to ranching and cattle by a neighbor who befriended me and took me to brandings and to gather cattle. So began my love for ranching and agriculture. I continued my passion for agriculture in high school, becoming involved in FFA. Many of my life’s fondest memories are through the FFA organization. Livestock shows, judging competitions, and leadership are the things I enjoyed most and those interests developed me into who I am today. Two of my proudest moments during those years in FFA are, receiving the State Farmer degree and being elected San Joaquin regional vice president.

After high school I attended Lassen Junior College on a livestock judging scholarship, and then transferred to Fresno State University. I continued with livestock judging teams and earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science .
Shortly after graduating from FSU I gained employment at Urrutia Ranches in Friant Ca., a large cow/calf and stocker operation. I became the foreman for Urrutia and worked there for 25 years. Running cattle all over central California, Oregon and Nevada I don’t think there are many things in the cattle business I haven’t seen. The experience was vast and varied.
In 2017 I had the opportunity to join Booth Ranches. A chance for new challenges, goals, and opportunities, for myself and my family. So here we are my wife Pamela, daughter Haley, and son Trevor working together and loving what we have.
